About this course

Concentrated stock is the problem most executive clients actually have. This course builds the divestment plan from the ground up: frame the client's total wealth picture and goals, measure the concentration honestly, and then work through the tools — outright sale, hold, Rule 10b5-1 plans, exchange funds, charitable vehicles, and trust transfers — and when each one fits.

Learning objectives

  • Measure concentration in the context of total household wealth and stated goals
  • Compare sell, hold, and staged-divestment strategies against the client's objectives
  • Evaluate 10b5-1 plans, exchange funds, and trust transfers as divestment tools
  • Document a written divestment plan the client and advisor can execute over time
